Reblog: The Gawkey and Flaybottomist…

Good evening/night, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan still here. Judy continues toiling in her writers retreat, and I’m still here reblogging some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ve done this before, and I’m looking at her posts from 2016 this go-around.

My final pick for today is a fun read (well, to me). It’s a response Judy wrote to a NaPoWriMo prompt. Just the title and accompanying photo should be enough to give you a smile and a reason to click on it. The title? The Gawkey and Flaybottomist—Who Should Have Stopped When First They KissedHave I got you hooked yet? Bet I do!

Reblog: One Word? Absurd!

Good afternoon, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan here again. Judy is in the fourth day of her writers retreat in Colima, and I’m still here reblogging some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ve done this before, and I’m looking at her posts from 2016 this go-around.

My first selection today (Yes – I’ll reblog a couple more this afternoon/evening) is “One Word? Absurd!“. It amuses me how it takes some people awhile to adjust to new circumstances. In early March, 2016, when Judy first posted this poetic rant, the folks that posted the Daily WordPress Prompts had just switched from full-sentence (sometimes full-paragraph) prompts to one-word prompts. Judy, as you might discern from the subtle subtext of this poem, was not entirely happy. I hope y’all enjoy!

Reblog: The Secret Life of Gardeners

Good evening, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan here again. Judy continues her writers retreat in Colima, and I’m still here reblogging some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ve done this twice before, and I’m looking at her posts from 2016 this go-around.

I just love this poem “The Secret Life of Gardeners” that Judy posted in March, 2016. I feel it always deserves a reblog. I hope y’all feel it as well. Please enjoy.
