Up on the Rooftop

My neighbors just sent me this photo of the roof of my kitchen. Their house is up much higher than mine so I can’t really see this roof garden except a bit of it from my hammocks down below. I love the looks of it. A few ferns there, as well. Does anyone know if this could undermine my roof? If I need to remove them, I’d love to plant them below in the garden. Making Felt Cacti with Sharon, For Thursday Trios and couldn’t resist the 3 cent stamps! (Click on photos to enlarge and see details.) The stamps were among ones I took to Mexico 23 years ago and have never used so I brought them up to use on a package I mailed and gave the rest to Sharon to use. The Post Office attendant was a good sport about it and took our word that the stamps added up to the $6 postal fee!!!

Sharon and Linda’s birthdays, reunions after many years, Malanna’s successful job interview, making good use of old stamps, good food, good friends, good cheer, temptations of the Chinese market, spontaneous dance, grandkids and wontons and the birthday cake decoration that wouldn’t die!!!

Can’t believe I forgot to post this for the first time in 10 years!  Here is my Jan 8 FOTD a day late. Mia Culpa.  It’s the huge cactus below the pool, catching the first rays of the morning that have just peekied over the house. These little balls are as close as it ever gets to flowering.

Travel Challenge, Day 4

I was nominated by my friend Konstanze Venus to post one favorite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then to nominate someone else to participate. That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. I may not make it to the end of ten days, but for now I nominate Derrick Knight . Some people I nominate may be on Facebook and others on blogs. Just post wherever you wish but link to me so I know you have. If you are not interested, no problema.

Nowhere in the rules does it say you can’t guess where the photo was taken and that I can’t agree if you are right, say keep guessing if you aren’t.
