This Wild mural by Deedidit and unique collage painting were on view at Nomad Furniture Gallery in Ajijic. Wish I knew someone to give the duck/ducks to…but it’s too big for mailing anyway!!! (Sorry, I don’t know who did the Duckie Collage. Perhaps her, perhaps someone else.)

(Pun intended.) One of my favorite stops in Jackson, Mississippi was Eudora Welty’s house…now a museum. Here hanging upside down from its handle with other fans on my curtain rod in my room is a fan I bought there.

Her house seemed to be left just as it was when she passed away. On the dining room table were pages of a manuscript cut into strips and pinned to the tablecloth… like this was her method of seeing the segments together and reorganizing and editing them. I loved this!!! All of the awards and trophies she had won over the years were tucked away in her clothes closet out of sight to anyone but her. I love her stories and I think I would have loved her.

On Monday and Tuesday mornings, I teach these four charming students English. They are Eduardo, Pasiano’s son, Marie Jose and Alejandra, Yolanda’s nieces and Yoli, Yolanda’s daughter. So, instead of Cellpic Sunday, I guess these are my Cellpic Monday and Tuesday shots!
Nine years ago, Alejandra was one of the kids in a summer camp we threw for kids. Now she has two kids of her own! Here’s a picture of her way back then at age 12.

My friend Aurora generously drove me to Guad to try for the third time to get my papers straightened out. I got up at 5 A.M.to get ready to head out to Guad.. Got home at 5:30 P.M. It was a looooong day with lots of walking. Thanks, Aurora. They said they’ll let me know in 2 to 4 weeks if I am finally straightened out.

For Cellpic Sunday
These photos were all taken from my patio and pool between the hours of 7:35 and 8:54 on Saturday, June 8, 2024. I couldn’t resist including the one where the moon looks like it is sitting on the electric pole.
Kukla loves to sneak in and have a nap on her favorite dining room chair–especailly when the center runner is pulled down to cushion her matress.
What looks like an opossum running along on two feet is actually the sole remains of a squirrel that the cats left in this exact position on my doormat in front of the kitchen door! I hope no one is offended by their artistry. I did not move any of the pieces. This is exactly how I found it.
