The Turning Point, for Lens Artist Challenge #396

“…That big hour of decision, the turning point in your life… it just doesn’t come suddenly. You’ve trained yourself for it while you waited — or you’ve let it all run past you and frittered yourself away.” ( From “The Autumn Garden” by Lillian Hellman.)

I love this quote and have it taped to my computer desk, actually.  This was the best I could do at illustrating it. I really to believe that everyone has some creative talent within but we just have to find it by “doing” and letting it come out.

For Lens Artists Challenge #396 the assignment is to illustrate a favorite quote.

San Juan Cosala Kids Art Camp

https://issuu.com/lakechapalasociety/docs/conecciones_agosto_2019_digitalI forgot to post photos of some of the kids enjoying the many activities at art camp two weeks ago. I taught earring and bracelet-making and egg-carton flower making. Useful skills in life. Here they are. Better late than never.

Go HERE to see an article I wrote about Operation Feed, the volunteer organization that sponsored this camp. The article is on pages 26 and 27, but when you slide the bar to get to the page, it will say it is 28. Miracles of the media.
