After being gone for three weeks, I had to check out the state of the garden–at least around the pool. Certainly not as lush as the cactus flowers in Arizona. These will, however, remain the year through.

Those lush cactus flowers probably won’t be so lush for several years to come, either! Yours garden is still beautiful!

Don’t they bloom every year?

They do bloom every year, but the number of blossoms depends upon the temperatures and the water supply during the winter — sometimes there might be only 3 or 4 blossoms on a plant that size, and other years can be like this one. There must have been good rains in Phoenix when the temp was just right to generate such prolific blooming!

Your garden survived your trip 😀 😀

It did. A but brown and sketchy in areas, but hopefully the rainy season will mend that.

Oops.. either I didn’t know or didn’t remember that’s where you lived. I was there for three weeks. Just returned to Mexico two days ago.
