Hesitation, for dVerse Poets

Hesitation

As I recite my Sunday Psalms,
two butterflies alight like balms
upon the leper’s outstretched palms.

Thus nature intervenes and calms
the remainder of my qualms.
I fill the beggar’s hands with alms.

For the dVerse prompt today, Merril inspired us to write about butterflies.

Thanks for your comment, Björn. Did you notice there is no longer a Mr. Linky link on the dVerse prompt page? And my link doesn’t work to Mr. Linky either.

Judy, your “alm” sound is like OM. The poem reads as a mantra.

Wanted to let you know I’m on the home stretch with your book and should have it done either tonight or tomorrow. Am enjoying it very much.

I’ve never known a more giving person. When I read this, I also thought of you and Luz going to see the Mariposa. Ann from Cheyenne
