Jade Plant
This was my friend Chuy’s plant and every time I look at it, I think of him. He used to take my friend Betty and me out into the small villages to see precolumbian artifacts and ruins.
I love the buds as much as the flowers–the shading and the tight little promise of delicate white flowers to come.

They are like presents that open themselves. Every day a new collection of perfect blooms.

Impossible to choose a favorite shot, so I’ll be as profuse as the plant and just include them all!

Judy, I didn’t know jade plants even bloomed! Your plant is amazing–so big and full. I have a brown thumb, so I’m very impressed.

If I put it in a larger pot, it would grow even larger–I’ve seen them grow as big as a tree, but I like it the size it is. Wish the Antherium I got from him had thrived as well. Guess I need to transplant it.

I used to grow those in pots in the house. It’s amazing to see one so huge outside.

I never knew what they were called before. Beautiful images.

I’ve never caught them at this stage before. Unfortunately, I often overlook my plants–especially the ones in the lower garden. Your challenge has given me an excuse to look at them daily. Thanks for that.

Gorgeous! We pass a plant covered in these flowers on our walks, and I’ve always wondered what it was called, so thank you, Judy, for naming it for me!

Pinch off a piece next time and just set it in soil. They are very easy to grow
