These little beauties just keep on blooming, but unfortunately the leaves don’t fare so well!  love the seed pods, though.

    I picked a seed pod in Charleston last Nov. Had no idea what it was. Grew 9 plants in April 2016. Asked many experts here in GA and no one knew what i had grown. My friend, a florist, gave me a hint that it might be a Heliconia.Googled heliconia plants and Reaching the Sky Heliconia matched my new blooms. Thanks for your blog. Kathie in Madison, GA

      Reaching for the Google bar to look for Reaching the Sky Heliconia! Many varieties. I love them all. Many mistake them for Birds of Paradise but although they are similar, they are birds of a different feather.
