Judy, I have never seen anything like these berries before. How pretty. 😀

I know..not quite flowers, but I couldn’t resist..They are the fruiting stem of a palm tree…Each little “berry” is a potential tree!!!!

That is just beautiful. The palms we have get a similar white stalky bit but our berries are black and nowhere near as pretty as the red.

My berries are yellow and create many problems with bats when they turn to fruit. Expensive to have them trimmed, but must be done. My dogs love the fruit, but there is so little fruit and the “pits” are as big as brazil nuts, so I worry about them passing them. My housekeeper’s family also loves the fruit, but I don’t worry so much about their passing them…ha. Kidding. They just suck the coating of fruit off–like a really thick jam.

Like a regular palm tree?

Yes. Not a coconut palm. These just produce a tiny layer of sticky fruit around each of these seeds, which get bigger.
