Thanksgiving Insurance
As I pat butter on the turkey,
all my dogs get extra lurkey.
But when they get my sound rebuffing,
they develop interest in the stuffing.
So what solution do I tout?
Stuffing goes in. The dogs go out!!!

Aw.. now I’m feeling sad. We’ll have a little leftovers feast for them when the guests have gone.

Great poem. I’ll have to pass that on to friend with dogs.

Mine are all sleeping in the spare room, but their palace was grouted today and will be painted in the next few days. Exciting. The workman continues to be a perfectionist, so it is small but perfect!

You don’t want to have a repeat of what happened with the Bumpes’s dogs in “Christmas Story” now! The movie with Ralphie and the BB gun… 😀 You might end up eating Chinese turkey at a restaurant. LOL I love that movie.

Just saw the Christmas Story on stage here in Albuquerque, and they had real dogs, two that looked like bloodhounds. They raced back & forth after the father, and then stole his turkey off the table. Great fun. Happy Holidays from Albuturkey, all you bloggers.

Do they get to assist with any of the leftovers???

Oh yes. So far they’ve had three meals of turkey “leftovers.” The kitty wasn’t here for an early dinner when I went to pick my friend up at the airport, so I just fed her hers. They all eat their turkey dinners with great gusto and smack their lips afterwards!!!

Well obviously, you’d fit right in here! Except in addition to the “good stuff,” I hope you didn’t have to eat the gizzard and skin like they did!
