My response was that if someone would just make a tree out of tortillas, we’d be well on our way to a complete meal. People could just graze from tree to tree. Can a dried frijole (bean) tree be far behind?

Ha, no. That is a concrete cross built into the wall behind the tree. The tree is actually mounted on the wall.
