The Answer:

This is the answer to the previous post entitled “What is It?” The answer is that the earlier pictures were of the inside of this Datura flower. Hard to believe such a long bell-shaped flower would look so non-assuming and flat inside. I expected a long exotic stamen and pistils similar to a hibiscus flower.
I adore the shape of this flower. Wonderful photo of it. Does it turn into a vegetable or squash? Looks like it should.

No, Cee. It is a drug, but since it is in the nightshade family, and therefore poisonous, it can be very dangerous. There is little consistency in how effective it is. Sometimes it has no effect at all but other times it can send one on a trip that lasts for days and can also kill! Kind of the Russian Roulette of recreational drugs. No, I’ve never used it nor has anyone I know, but back in the days of the rumored effects of morning glory seeds, I think the uninformed (or naive) dabbled in it. Kids (and adults) don’t try this at home!!!

Okay now you know how much I know about drugs. Nothing. I won’t look for this and taste it or snort it or smoke it then 😀
