Flutter
One morning I woke up and came out onto my porch to view this spectacle of the birds waiting to get the leftovers from the fishermen as they cleared their gill nets of small fish used for bait. They waited patiently until the men tossed the excess fish onto the sand and departed. Then this flutter and dance ensued.
I love pelicans. You can see their inner dinosaur shining through.

Yes…I agree. And I love how this guy is strutting his stuff…plus the composition of all the elements of the photo with different birds, boats, etc.

Three groups of threes and singles. Three boats, one offshore rock, three floating pelicans, one more off to the side, three seagulls aloft, one more off to the side.

Pelicans are year-round residents here in Florida too. They are master entertainers, and the darlings of the tourists, espical around the fishing piers. It’s the jester of the waterfront. Enjoyed your photos Judy.
