Yes, folks, now you have seen it all! This actually is a life-sized replica of a horse—made into a lamp!! If it is zany, one-of-a-kind or in multiples, you can find it at Galeria el Triunfo in Guadalajara—along with thousands of other unique items from canes with built-in flashlights to a diving bell made into a walk-in bar!

A horse lamp…pretty weird! Great capture!

That horse lamp to me seems way out of proportion. Both your photos are perfect for odd balls. They are great. 😀

Lobster Quadrille
“Will you walk a little faster?” said a whiting to a snail,
“There’s a porpoise close behind us, and he’s treading on my tail.
See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle – will you come and join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, won’t you join the dance?
“You can really have no notion how delightful it will be
When they take us up and throw us, with the lobsters, out to sea!”
But the snail replied “Too far, too far!” and gave a look askance —
Said he thanked the whiting kindly, but he would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, could not join the dance.
“What matters it how far we go?” his scaly friend replied.
“There is another shore, you know, upon the other side.
The further off from England the nearer is to France —
Then turn not pale, beloved snail, but come and join the dance.
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, won’t you join the dance?

Perfect.. I feel like I’ve read this before–long ago and far away. Perhaps on another shore!

My favourite is the “The Walrus and the Carpenter”. Which you can be “sure” is amusing. … Oh oysters come and walk with us. The walrus did beseech. A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, along the briny beach.
It always makes me giddy, that poem. Cheers Jamie

Actually, my very favorite is, “James James Morrison Morrison Weatherby George Dupree Took great. Care of his Mother, Though he was only three. . . .” Do you know that one?

They took some money and plenty of honey, wrapped up in a five pound note … nice one!

Thanks, Cee. Always thrilling to be chosen. A horse with a lampshade on its head will do it every time! Ha. I should have entitled it “Party Horse.” (Yes, it actually is a lamp. I didn’t look to see where the cord came from.)

It was just to odd not to feature. 😀 😀

I think my friend is considering buying that lamp!!! If so, I’ll take a picture of it in her house. Hope she’s kidding.
