They were next to the Lincoln monument on the highest point of the Lincoln Highway between Laramie and Cheyenne. They were either dead or perhaps there had been a cold snap there. Hard to tell.
Trees were leafed out everywhere else.
Seems everything was late in leafing out in the Spring — perhaps the weather in the area since it snowed so late into the Spring season had an effect on this set. I really like the wide angled one! I wonder what type of trees they are/were?
Judy, thank you for sharing your trip trees. You said, “they were between Laramie and Cheyenne.” That’s why I didn’t hang around that area very long. Everything gets to looking a little rough along that route in time, either baked or frozen.
Looks to me like they’re all trying desperately to escape. (Escape from what, I’ve no clue.)
