We had a big sweet pea entaglement outside my window (and down a story) in South Dakota. I loved them. Pink ones.

It does look rather pea-ish! My first reaction was that it might be a vetch — they’re mostly purple, but there are some yellow ones too.

Yellow lupine. You can tell from the foliage.
