Coxcomb: Flower of the Day, Sept 1, 2016

IMG_0693Thanks, Christine Goodnough, for jogging my memory re/ the name of this beauty  from my friend Patty’s garden in Wyoming. I knew an animal was involved in its name, but couldn’t for the life remember what it was until you solved the mystery.

Shiver

Shiver

That kiss he gave that made me shiver?
I fear he is an Indian giver.
For once he’d given me a smack,
he said I had to give it back!

The prompt today was “Shiver.”

Thursday Doors: Sheridan Inn, Sept 1, 2016

IMG_0532I doubt that these are the original doors to the historic Sheridan Inn, a hotel/restaurant built in 1893 and once managed by Buffalo Bill Cody who would hold auditions for his Wild West Show on the front porch.  The hotel, bar and restaurant are still in operation in Sheridan, Wyoming.
