As I drove to town the last day of 2016, this was the sight I was met with. I couldn’t stop then as I was in a hurry, but on the way home I stopped and snapped these photos. If you click on the first one, it will enlarge and you can see the captions.
I was on my way to a New Year’s Day party, and I was late and in a hurry, so I had sailed right past this booth on the side of the road. It had a gaggle of rather poorly made pinatas that I first had a glimpse of from a back view. But, seeing that vivid blue suit and wild yellow hair, I knew just what we had here.
On the last day of 2016, some citizens will surely be taking a swing at one of these pinatas. This one is similar to the one I bought the day before the election and which I still haven’t really dealt with.
Since my purchase, some enterprising person has run off a good many authentic Donald faces. I’m glad mine was the handmade caricature.
Donald seems to be struggling with his alter-ego. Who shall we hope wins?
Aha.. more archetypes enter. Seems like a bit of a struggle going on here. Who will win? Likely Donald, whatever the result.
All those sides backing him up in his march forward.
Um. Only problem is that one of them has seemed to have lost his head. Let’s hope this is not a forewarning.
The prompt word today was “year.”
