Analogies rule

Can’t keep a good girl down. Even when ill, Carol (of the Relax blog) can’t resist a challenge. Here is her excellent poem on the subject of the butterfly kiss! Mine was published on my blog yesterday.

If you haven’t experienced the butterfly kiss,

I assure you it’s something you’d not want to miss:

on nose-tip and eyelids, and brows, right to left;

on laugh lines and frown lines, on chin where it’s cleft,

lip corners, and forehead.. all hand knuckles, too

–like having soft insects traipse all over you!

That was my response to Judy’s challenge to compose a poem based on “butterfly kiss.” I’m sorry if you just ran for the can of Raid.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.
