Sometimes when he can’t find the one I just threw, he’ll come back with one he finds in the bushes from weeks ago. I bet there are a dozen secreted away here and there! I’ve bought 4 tubes of 6 tennis balls each in past year or so. Down to one.
I think perhaps I’m the one who unknowingly stashes them. Sometimes I throw them places where it is impossible for him to find them. I have to throw them over bushes to get them down to the lower garden from the pool. Then he retrieves them and drops them in the water for me to retrieve and throw.

He’s a smart cookie. Gonna go out and retrieve some more. Hope the water has cooled enough. No moon tonight, at least not yet.
