There is a bird of paradise in the backyard next to me. What is amazing is the owners have neglected this yard for 40 years, yet this one plant survives. (I mean serious neglect, no watering, weeding once every 5 years, nothing) What is sad to me is the previous owner had a gorgeous yard; it would not have been much for the new owners to have it maintained. They are wealthy.
