That was a baby bird Morrie brought in in his mouth…unhurt, but soaking wet. I think he’d fallen from his nest or was washed in his nest out of one of the tejas when it rained. We kept him alive for a week, placing him in a nest in a cage where his parents could come feed him. We had no idea where he’d been originally. Eventually, he passed away and is buried with a little marker in a special place.
