Pursuing the Wild Prompt
This blog’s teeming with challenges by the day or week.
I seem to find a new one everywhere I seek.
This leads to combinations of words that are deplorable.
At times the stories that they tell, admittedly are horrible.
Still we keep on churning out this poetry and prose
using all these silly words that other people chose.
Why do we use these words that they give us fully blown?
Because the alternative is thinking up our own!
The prompts are week, challenge, teem and deplorable. Here are the links:

It’s fun–like a puzzle. Much easier than starting out with a blank slate.

A fun poem — but it seems today that they all are critical of the prompts — I wonder how long the volunteer prompts can last!

It just sounds that way because two of the words were prompt an deplorable. I actually am very grateful for them and love the fun of having to force different prompt words together. I think they’ll last for a long time. Fingers crossed.

And thus, my friend, you will not see me in that mix. I barely have it in me to write something that means something. Great way to put it, by the way. Pretty much sums it up for me.
