Um, Dear, we (your readers) have talked it over, and we think you need to step away from the poinsettia and smell the roses, or play with the cats and dogs, or form a bridge club, or, or … Yes, it’s truly a lovely, LOVELY plant. But it needs its own space to breathe. (I hope a wink/nudge isn’t necessary here.)

Oh no. I went out in the cold last night with a flashlight to see if the flowers on the poinsettia had opened up more to share with you and now I guess my sacrifice was in vain. Just no appreciation on the part of kids these days!!! That’s all right, I’ll just sit in my lonely room and look at them myself. Sniff.
