Scary Stuff

I had heard years ago about the quickly shrinking Ogallala Aquifer, but there is much more that is equally as scary here.  Hard as it is to face, we should all be aware of it and vote accordingly!!!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Scary alright – absolutely terrifying! How can ‘man’ have been so ignorant all through the ages?? Money, greed?! Nothing changes does it?

The more I hear, the more I read, the more depressed I get. I’ve watched documentaries and stories in National Geographics and and and and …

None of the news is good and I’m aching for some good news on some front.

I know. I’m reading about how the rapidly depleting aquifer is now polluted by microscopic plastic particles.. and almost the entire world’s salt supply, other than Himalayan and Black Sea salt. It is just crazy. Want me to stop?

I saw Donald Trump making comments on TV about how ‘clean’ America’s ‘Climate’ is: “The cleanest in the world, actually.” 🙄

The man just DOES . NOT . UNDERSTAND! or have any interest in environmental issues, despite having an army of the best informed experts on the planet to advise him on all issues, facing not just the lives of Americans, but of everyone on the planet. 😦

It’s obvious he does not know (or even care) about the difference between Carbon (CO2) ‘pollution’ (which influences long term climate/ocean levels) and the accumulation of toxins in our natural environment.

If the ‘man-in-charge’ of the world’s largest economy, and perhaps the most influential man on the planet has this level of unconcern and ignorance about man’s future survival on this
planet what chance does the world’s population have?? 😦

They do… but i’m not very confident that will happen! 😦

Looks like the Democrats have learned nothing from their previous effort. 😦

We vote back in the mob that all the polls said would be kicked out! 😦
A huge victory for negative campaigning vs reform policy politics. The ‘do as little as is possible to combat climate change’ team won thanks to a ‘policy’ of digging up coal for profit and for jobs.
That and a billionaire spending as much money as the two main party’s combined on a purely negative campaign against the side that lost, and while purportedly putting up himself and other candidates for his own minor party completely failed to get a single seat out of over 220 possible electorates!
As in most places – money talks and self interest rules. 😦

Darn.. your comment disappeared. Sometimes when I try to answer, comments go to trash but my trash has disappeared, too, along with the comments on my tool bar. I think the bigwigs have discovered our thread!!!
