The water has come up incredibly in the past year. If it doesn’t retreat soon, no doubt the tree will die. In the meantime it seems to flourish and the egrets love it. I have more closeups I’ll publish soon.

We have lots of trees in the forest that alternate between sitting in a pool and a crater

Mangroves certainly thrive in the water, as do willows.
