My friends Jesus and Jesus Eduardo who are spending their isolation time by helping to make my house more beautiful. Project still in process.
The News
I swore I would not write about our narcissistic president
or any other White House or Washington D. C. resident.
I’d avoid mention of the Dow and boycott themes ubiquitous,
stuffing down objections to tweets famously obliquitous.
I thought it was a piece of cake I’d slice off with a knife
to avoid this elephant that dominates my life,
but then the daily prompts came in and blew my plans away.
Could it be more obvious what they want me to say???
And so here is another diatribe against the present
truths that dominate our lives and make them less than pleasant.
To compensate I’d like to try to give an antidote,
so go down to the link below and share an anecdote
of something someone’s done that’s helped to make your life worth living.
Something non-self-serving that was heartfelt, loving, giving.
The world is not made up of only villains in the news.
News is only life and we can live it as we choose.
Go HERE and tell us about something wonderful someone has done for you or those around you in this time of forced isolation. And while you are there, see the good news others have shared.
Prompt words today are cake, boycott, knife, astray and president. See? They made me do it!!!!

Yes, we are keeping our distance. They are outside. I am inside. They live in the same house, so no problem with their being in close contact.
You have lots of good news….

Wonderful to be able spend your isolation with extended family, Judy. What a great job the men have done. I just love the bright colours. It is far from the White House. 🙂

They didn’t paint the house.. the part he is painting is presently white but will get its color tomorrow..He’s painting a design around the door.

So he is not just a painter, but an artist!

Yes.. he’s a fabulous artist. Not a house painter.

Actually the color comes close to the color of my little car, which is called Habanero, but the house color is a little lighter and also a little less red.

Did they begin again? I thought you posted a photo the other day with color and a pattern around the arch.
I just received another 5 bags of groceries (which I’ll pay for, but which my neighbor ordered for me), and there’s plenty of milk in the fridge that another neibhvor brought and won’t accept payment for. I can’t find yeast anywhere, but that and flour seem to be the overbought issue of the day!

I read where you don’t need yeast.. if you leave the bread uncovered for awhile it will pick up yeast from the air.. Google it. i can’t remember where I read this but it was on a blog.

They are now painting murals around the flat area under the domes.. all the way around the house. The two back wall already have them. Then they’ll be done although they may termiteproof and linseed oil all the outside wood in my house before they go.

I’ll look forward to seeing more photos — and I hope they do the termite work while they’re at it!
