Eduardo had the exacting job of measuring off the designs.
And a chance to model the sombrero Morrie peed on two days ago. Never fear.. it has been washed and allowed to dry. He no longer sets it on the ground between wearings.
The owner of this disgraceful footwear shall remain unnamed. Suffice it to say they are comfortable and he can leave them out on his front stoop with no fear they’ll be stolen.
A Disreputable pair
Jesus prettied up the ugly scar from where a branch was sawed off for me, since this is my main view from my hammock.
The clouds are gorgeous in the later afternoon

and the scene was constantly changing
Finally, it was time to go up to the house
And before I knew it, Jesus and Eduardo were back.
I think the secret to Mom’s was the Van Camps base. All she added were ketchup (catsup to you and me!) and brown sugar. I do the same (plus dried minced onions and black pepper) and mine taste just like hers.
I have never been successful at pork and beans. You really need a pressure cooker and I think a lot more brown sugar than is in the recipe. But mine of been essentially inedible too. Beans stay hard, sauce just wrong. I’m ging to go bake a chocolate cake. I need chocolate.
I have a slow cooker/pressure cooker and it cooked the beans perfectly. I then added the rest of the ingredients and cooked some more. My mother always laid raw bacon across the top when baking, but I cooked the bacon first..Don’t think it would have done so well in the slow cooker.

Thanks, Joseph. And those photos don’t really do justice to those clouds around the moon. It was magical.
