A Way Out
He thinks he is inexorable, but he’s only temporary.
His expiration date reveals that he is just contemporary.
He’ll go down as a buffoon in the annals of our nation,
and his exit from the White House will bring great jubilation.
When greed combines with vanity and thirst for power and fame,
then achieves the oval office, the whole nation is to blame.
Would that he’s vivified our populace from living room to coffice
to get their butts out and to vote this charlatan from office!
May justice thus be vivified and liberty brought home,
and a sense of the rational be restored to the dome.
I’VE VOTED. HAVE YOU, OR WILL YOU????
Word prompts today are exit, inexorable, collide, vivify and temporary.

I looked at that Joker and saw Boris Johnson-uncanny!

You always do so well in using the prompts, even if your subject matter is sometimes..er…controversial.
I had to wonder, as I read this, if your rousing verse may also get the pro’s out of their chairs to vote FOR, to ensure re-election. Such electrifying times! 😉

Possibly, but I don’t think many of them are reading my blog.

So you’re “preaching to the choir.” 😉 The thing that saddens me is the polarization. I guess it’s not so unusual — politics does that. Don’t they say some minds are like concrete: “Mixed and thoroughly set.”
I’m glad a few people like my current blog posts, but I’m challenging widely accepted doctrines. Bob’s cousins hold conferences every year to teach these theories — and they are so tied in with (esp) US politics!

I have a few family members who have disowned me as well, I think. Distant ones..Most of my close family pretty much share my views.

Well done — yes, I will get out and vote, and I’m thinking I may put on a mask and offer to drive others to the polls if there’s a demand for that.

Buffoon is earth mover truckloads too kind. My first thoughts are towards Nero fiddling while Rome burned. Except this one only tweets. And still too kind for the malice and harm this one deals out almost daily. The master inn keeper from Le Mis comes mind for there are none greedier than this one. Likewise the emperor with no clothes his pride and love of ‘grand parades’ knows no bounds. Then again I am leaving out the Marquis de Sade and Machiavelli. Better yet can we drain the swamp of history and scrape what is left writhing in the slime into one massive disgusting multi-personality disorder ? That just might begin to describe this evil little man. As long as it included a liar who could throw everybody and anybody under the bus once they no longer served his purposes. Did we really elect this sorry excuse ? What did he put in the Kool aide and why did we believe him !

Well, some of us didn’t believe him, and others let their dislike of Hillary get in the way and did not vote. Such a ridiculous choice. There is always a lesser of two evils. Not that I considered Hillary a bad choice. I think she would have made a good president. As for all you say about the wormy one–all true. No arguments from me.

Hillary would have been a far far far better choice. Wormy one – not a bad description. Except if fish ever catch on to that description there might be a whole lot of hungry. fishermen and women !

Boris and Donnie have been compared before. I don’t know if favorably has any meaning here, but definitely compared.
