Night Garden

The night turned cool and I was about to arouse myself from my hammock to go up to the house when I caught sight of the moon.

And always a surprise. I never go outside to see what the moon looks like unless it is a blue moon or eclipse, but it constantly surprises me when I do go out. So changeable. Perhaps that’s why a woman is represented by the moon?

That gives me chills. It always seems to me that I am the only one seeing that particular moon. The idea that millions of people all over the world may be looking at it at the same time is somehow comforting. We do all have some things in common.

Strange because I’d had an exhausting day and wanted to go in swimming because the dr. has said I could now if I had a waterproof bandage, but i was just too tired and the day was turning a bit cool. I wanted to spend some time outside, though, so I went down to the hammock, covered up with a blanket, and just worked on the computer a bit, then closed my eyes and listened to an audible book. I don’t know if I slept, but when I came back to the world, it had gotten dark. Pitch black, actually, but as I gathered my things to go up to the house, I saw that moon in a sliver of sky between my gazebo roof and the palm tree above. It was so gorgeous, and I clicked those first couple of shots, then a few more.
