About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I do, too, V.J. It is just necessary for those responsible to be punished to the full extent to discourage further actions in the future. The instigators are as bad or worse than those who carried out their wishes as they did it for purely selfish motives–their own power. The rioters were dumb enough to carry out their wishes–some of them thinking it was for noble motives, others just to satisfy their own aggressive natures. Those who cheered them on while sitting safely above the fracas are equally responsible for the deaths and destruction. Hopefully they won’t once again be held unaccountable because of their station and power.
