In Jerusalem, it was hard to find flowers that would grow (in pots) on a veranda which got full sun for most of the day. in the end, the answer was cactus (not my favorite fun flower), and GERANIUMS. I had hanging geraniums tall geraniums, pink, red, white, mixed geraniums. But they never looked as full as YOUR geraniums. They were always a bit scraggly AND I had to water them every day because it got Arizona hot in the summer with that same kind of absolutely clear skies and brutal sun. There were contests for best floral verandas. I never won. But those geraniums could take the sun — as long as you watered them. Sometime in the hottest parts of the summer, twice a day.
Talk about bringing back memories …
