Just before I saw the rattlesnake today, I snapped a photo of this gorgeous flower in my sister’s yard–or perhaps it was her neighbor’s. They join together along the arroyo that runs behind them both.
Does anyone else see the face in this photo?

Beautiful flower but yikes for the rattlesnake. 😧

Lovely. We have several of these, but fortunately no rattlesnakes

I need to plant a bottlebrush in my little park. I don’t have one in my yard but have always loved them.

I saw an interesting brown face but it doesn’r look like a snake to me. I had to enlarge the picture to find the snake. I enjoy watching snakes but not inclined to get close.

No, the face in the bottlebrush wasn’t a snake. The snake is in a different photo in a different post.

Look directly above the flower in the middle of the photo. There is a tan stem or curled former bud covering that looks like a face.

It does indeed look like an old man to me.

I didn’t notice it until long after I’d posted.
