A bit of excitement today when my sister’s neighbor called us over to see this interloper in his yard. It was between 4 and 5 feet long–a western diamondback rattlesnake..Click on photo to enlarge.
Ha.. they are, but not until their new house gets built. Will be two years. And the excitement caused an early happy hour with three neighbors so it was fun.
No. One neighbor saw it coiled in the driveway next door and called the people who lived there. It moved to their back yard which adjoins my sister’s back yard and told us about it so we went to see.
Hope cleverly it is camouflaged.

I’m glad it was in the neighbor’s yard! I’ve only seen a rattler in the wild once, and it made quite an impression!

I’ve seen many rattlesnakes, but only one western diamondback. Very cool!
