The Duke didn’t or Garry didn’t?? ;o). I ran smack dab into the Duke–a full frontal. He said, “Whoa, there, little lady!” I would have had to have not washed my whole body! Ha. He was also in my car, but never occurred to me not to vac the seats.
Ha ha..I was his publicity assistant. I worked for Bob Hope Productions, arranging his phone interviews, coordinated with the production team when they filmed his specials overseas, read all the trades and reviewed all the articles written about him, assisted in all the publicity for his specials, dealt with the press and NBC and all requests for interviews. I had a very interesting Rolodex file: Brooke Shields, Phyllis Diller, George Burns, Elizabeth Taylor. I could have made a fortune selling phone numbers.. No, I didn’t. His main publicist was my boss. Oh, I also ordered and sent out all his business-related Christmas presents!
Thanks that about fills me in… While in school I worked in Crown Cafeteria in Pasadena and a lot of those Hollywood folks came in there. Some were very nice and others a bit full of their selves.
Is there something in the air tonight? The stars? Because my post, just put up, is an examination of my mortality. How strange. Three-quarters over? The best quarter is yet to come, then, Judy!
That’s quite a group!
