Ooh — that’s one I haven’t seen before — how pretty it must be, mixed in with the other flowers!

But so hard to photograph. I love the flower but have never gotten a really good photo of it. Don’t know why.

This shot looks pretty good to me — at least I can see what the flower looks like and how it’s composed!

Thanks, Janet. It gives a general ideal but I just can’t get definition. I have this problem with both yellow and red flowers.

I tried to shoot a white orchid that I was given for my birthday — couldn’t get any definition at all! I understand what you’re saying, though I think you do better than you think you do with the red ones — maybe tighter aperture and longer exposure?
