A beautiful collection

The succulent that is blooming is not actually the hen and chicks succulent that you see in between the blooms. The one blooming is much larger and ruffled but the succulent is hidden by the bloom which is much taller than the plant and so is closer to the camera and obscures it from view.

They look like very tidy cabbages.

The large ones that are blooming are ruffled echeverias. First time I’ve had this variety, although I’ve had lots of echeverias.

Oh wow, I need to go pick up new succulents to add to my indoor window boxes this winter. Love this arrangement.

These are just succulents I stuck in around a sculpture down in the garden. Had no idea they would sprout such huge blooms–two feet high at least. The sort of obscure all the lower succulents. I pulled out some then liked how they framed the hen and chicks.

That one reminds me of the one in “The Little Shop of Horrors”, but unusual and beautiful.
