Interesting, beautiful, and a perfect photo. Are the petals still clutching the pistil with only a few of the anther showing, due to open as wide as the others already open~? I do not remember seeing such a late (slow) opening before. But at 7:00 in the morning I just may not be getting outside in the dark early enough. ((I know), but you know me, and my mouth does sometimes work faster than my mind, especially this early in the morning~!)

Yes.. This particular plant, my newest, is the only one I’ve ever had where that happens. Eventually, they let go but are always a bit out from the other petals. This happens with each one that blooms on this particular hibiscus plant.
