Cats always choose the exact right place to pose themselves. This is Ollie photobombing the bougainvillea. Why is it odd? First of all, because it is rare to see him without his sister, Kukla, and secondly because this is the first time he has been the one to greet me up on the wall when I return home. Usually it is Kukla. Or is it because that’s an odd number of leaves on the bougainvillea bush? Check and see.

Photo bomb or not, it’s particularly sweet.

I love the scenes they present when I get home…Like a new art piece every time.

Is that a lizard on the branch as I follow his eyesight?

It does curve up like a lizard’s head often does, but I think it is a large seed pod from the Royal Poinciana whose trunk you see in the photo. Wish it was a lizard or an iguana but I’ve never had one on my property except for very tiny lizards–most missing part of their tail, thanks to my cats. Sorry, Liz.

“Welcome home — where have you been?” I once had a cat that walked down to greet me when he heard the sound of my car!

Mine do the same..the dogs when they hear the sound of the car and with the cats it is either when I open the garage door automatically or when they hear the car. Neighbors say the dogs start barking when they hear my car coming up the hill.
