About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

What a Lovely crystal clear photo, very impressed. It sure brings out the vibrant colours of the fuchsia.

I’m so glad you were able to find the right light for them. They are my all-time favorite “deck” flower, but without the shade we had from the old tree, we no longer have dappled light on the deck. It’s not too sunny for ANYTHING else, but is too sunny for that one flower. If I can find a place that is selling them — and they look healthy — I might try again anyway. Yours are just lovely. I’ve never had them in red and white. Had them in red and lavender, red and purple, light red with dark purple centers. I think these grow in just about every color 😀

Yes, off and on. Unlike bougainvillea and Hibiscus, which bloom continually, there are periods when they don’t have flowers, but they do bloom year round.
