Love straw flowers, like old girlfriends they stay with you for a long time until age takes over.

Aw. I love your simile, Sam.

There is an art knowing the difference between the three and what brings them on: A smile or grin is caused by joy, a smirk is caused by arrogance, and a grimace can be caused by pain. I am an expert in all of them,, like a Cheshire cat. Now, see what you did, I feel a poem coming on~! You have given me my challenge for the week.

Ha!!! Except, I said s-i-m-i-l-e, not smile. But, I like your smile as well and if the misunderstanding leads to a post, what can be the harm of it? ;o) (A smile not a smirk.)

Well it was very early in the morning and I did not have my glasses on yet. But what a smiling simile, now (I) see it~! In school I was Smiling SAM, but shortened it as I grew older and it became less effective. Notice that I use the word effective here, not affective. Back to that cat part~!

I’ve not seen straw flowers growing — just on Rose Parade floats! They’re very pretty!

Okay, Jez, your reward for efforts is that you win “Most original.” So far I think this is the only X that isn’t a strawflower. Good for you.
