You have 11 minutes free time, how do you spend it best with regards entertainment? Wordle, Word Huddle and Quordle, in that order.

Are you a fan of feet either yours or others or are you averse feet?
Why and why? I love taking photos of feet!!! I need to do a blog soon on my accumulation. I guess it is because in Mexico it is so important to look down when you walk due to cobblestones, uneven stair heights and other earthbound dangers.
When you are wrong and you know you are wrong do you admit to being wrong or try and find a right for your wrong? I think I admit it. Sometimes grudgingly, though.
Are you more of a night owl or a morning lark? Night Owl, but recently a Morning Lark as well. Not getting much sleep.
Do you listen to audiobooks and if so what is the appeal? How many do you get through every month? I have constantly had an audiobook to listen to for the past ten years or more. By evening my eyes give out and I’m not capable of reading print, plus I like to listen to books when I’m swimming, doing art, driving or swinging in the hammock. I love doing two things at once. It feels like I’m being granted twice as much life. I listen to a minimum of 2 books a month. Usually more.
Do you bore quickly and if so why and how do you combat it and if not, how do you avoid that boredom? I do if the topic is mundane, the speaker quoting the obvious or when talking to someone unwilling to surrender  the conversation to any other speaker. I just tune out and start writing a poem in my head.
What is one thing that you wish your readers knew about you and your blog? It is an addiction. I think a good one but another part of me thinks it is keeping me from finishing other projects begun long ago that I really would like to bring to fruition.
What items do you have on the top shelf of your fridge right now, today? Oat milk with linseeds, salsa verde, prunes, yogurt, Electrolit, Mashed potatoes at least 2 weeks old, cottage cheese, two kinds of salad dressing, peanut butter, a box of baking soda and a bowl with what looks like 3 tablespoons of two-week-old beef stew. Don’t ask me why. Perhaps I thought I’d have it for a midnight snack? Unlikely now.
Are you able to stand on one leg for 25 seconds? Not without touching something solid.
What are your favourite book titles from the following six categories?
[One item only per genre please – use alternative genre if first choice is not your style]
Comedy or Children’s literature  Sock Talk (self-aggrandizing. I wrote it.)

Horror or Historical Fiction Wuthering Heights
Mystery or Memoir Michele Obama’s autobiography, Becoming
Thriller or Adventure Peter Pan
Romance or Poetry Jane Eyre

Fantasy or Sci-Fi Batman
What twelve items would you take to a deserted island if you were going to be stranded there for twelve months and why those items – how are they functional to your survival? Sunscreen, deck of cards, thick journal or tablet, felt pen, glue, umbrella, sun hat, long-sleeved blouse, long pants, comfortable shoes, phone or ipad loaded with lots of books, spare batteries.  I am completely allergic to the sun, thus the umbrella, sun hat, sunscreen and coverup clothing. The deck of cards and audible books are for entertainment, the journal and pens for writing. I guess with an i pad I wouldn’t need the journal, pen and pencil so I could have three more items. The glue is to make collages out of found objects. If there was nothing to eat on the island, I guess it would be a large container of cans of tinned food and a can opener.

[You can not take people, or any means of escape and there is no Internet access or electricity]

Does the society of today need social media platforms? Are they dying – as is suggested – off or are people simply after something else that is socially oriented but more personable? From being around three kids of the new millenium for a couple of weeks lately, I would say they are not dying. I really do fear the capacity of twenty-somethings and younger to engage in their present reality…It was almost impossible for them to stay off their phones.

OH YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ASKED THESE QUESTIONS, YOU KNOW HOW SECRETIVE I AM~! Now it will be all over the internet~!

You have 11 minutes free time, how do you spend it best with regards entertainment~?

I let Tami take me for a walk, about 1/4 mile each way for me, but at least three miles for her~! Persons who have others take their animals for a walk are missing a lot, Tami runs around in circles or chases lizards, and other varmints, next thing I know she has run into the woods, but she is always in ear shot. Those walks start with me saying “Get your leash~!” She runs and gets it, grabs it and throws it into my lap, I do not hook her up, that would diminish the fun we have.

Are you a fan of feet, either yours or others, or are you averse feet?

I feel that a lot of ladies feet are often very ugly due to their having forced their feet into shoes designed by sadistic shoe designing men, which they should be adverse to~! – Though I went mostly barefooted until I was about 10, my feet are nicer than most women have, but mine may be somewhat larger~!

When you are wrong and you know you are wrong do you admit to being wrong or try and find a right for your wrong?

It depends on who is telling me that I am WRONG~! or how I am told that I am WRONG, sometime I may have a comeback showing their stupidity for calling my attention to a mistake, other times I just give them the silence treatment~!

Are you more of a night owl or a morning lark?

That depends on whether or not I have an Owl HEN keeping me awake, now if some little lark awakes me too early in the morning, I might admit to being hen pecked.

Do you listen to audio-books and if so what is the appeal?

Due to a SLIGHT hearing problem I do not listen to audio books even when driving, now if they figure out a way to put “closed captioning” on them it would be nice. Otherwise good music is my big weakness~!

Do you bore quickly and if so why and how do you combat it and if not, how do you avoid that boredom?

I usually move on to other things before I become bored, I find it peaceful just to ride my tractor around in circles dreaming when I am cutting weeds, and never become board, though it may be mundane to others, i might be running great (beautiful) thoughts through my mind.. I always had to be careful not to let Shirley see me smiling when doing this, so she would not know that I was enjoying myself, doing “all that hard work” But some people bore me to death and I just carefully turn off my hearing aids or excuse myself to go to the bathroom, then dream of other things.

What is one thing that you wish your readers knew about you and your blog?

I try to keep it a fun pastime and a communication aid, It is NOT an addiction. I do not ever look on my blog as a challenge, except when someone is trying to help me learn something of interest, but it is rather just a pastime where I can get my thoughts out and hopefully stir up a good conversation. Some people who only hit the “LIKE” button, and never have any comeback, good or bad really bore me and soon fall by the wayside. I keep my friend list very short often removing one if adding a new one, due to preferring a good conversation or reading with a few people superior to having many whom I will never remember the post of them, or even have time to study what they have to say. I make no promise that I am a steady posting machine but rather when things come to mind that really interest me and then can’t stop myself, (like this dumb questionnaire)

What is on the top shelf of your refrigerator~?

Oh,,, on the top shelf is mostly salad dressings, eggs, and such as English muffins, in the door is milk, juice, butter and a bottle of white wine, and more condiments. Now please do not ask me what I have in the three freezers or what date is on them, also I have hidden, and what wines I have in my wine cabinet or hard stuff in my pantry~!, When my friend is visiting she goes to that dumb $1.25 store and stuffs all the shelves with things that stay there until I throw them out, (then tell her I ate them)~!

Are you able to stand on one leg for 25 seconds? Not without touching something solid.~?

You should have not asked me this~! I even sometime have problems standing on two fee and hold on to the door at times.. I use a staff with taking my walks. But a week back I tripped on a rock on our walk and had to crawl to the nearest tree just to get back up, but Tami kept me from passing out by licking me in the face while I was on the ground. Must remember that a 91 year old man needs to carry a cane, even if he does not need one to walk, they come in handy for getting back up, so you don’t have to crawl to the nearest tree.

What are your favorite book titles from the following six categories?
[One item only per genre please – use alternative genre if first choice is not your style

No way that I could answer that, I am a book addict~!

Comedy or Children’s literature — almost never.
Horror, but some Historical Fiction — never— horror, and very little fiction, we get enough of this stuff in real life, when you have lived it why read about it.. Just write about it for others who live a dull life to read~!

Mystery or Memoir – Memoir and biography, yes, on interesting people, science, historical, and educational.
Romance – rarely~! again anticipation is not as good as realization (was) but a good romantic poem is usually interesting if it clicks and brings back sweet memories~!.

As to naming books (I said that I am a book addict~!!!)

I have eight book cases jammed with books plus the windowsill behind my chairs filled with books, and a few at a time next to my chair, and I love to read as many as three to five all on the same subject researching them along with using the computer. From the bible to most science books, I do not like to be ignorant on any subject that interest me and must know the veracity of anything I see, hear or read~!!

What twelve items would you take to a deserted island if you were going to be stranded there for twelve months and why those items –

at least as many women as time allows, because I would talk them to death or wear them out in such a long a time.. But if I found only one very interesting I may send the rest packing. I would also want a good fire starter or several axes, knife, gun and a lot of rope. proper clothing, boots and hats and books. Having lived off the land, I would be OK~! a self contained computer would be nice, I do not need a phone AT ALL~! or other such “entertainment”.

You can not take people, or any means of escape and there is no Internet access or electricity] You should have told me this before, now what am I going to do with all those women~!! NOW YOU TELL ME~! But I live out here for long periods just talking to my dog, so if I can’t take people can I have a couple of dogs~?

Does the society of today need social media platforms? NO, NO~!, NO~!~! They are a pain in the ass, I was much more happy before they came along and a good book with pin and paper is all the entertainment and is almost enough.

Are they dying – as is suggested

(I definitely hope so~!)– My grand kids visit and sit each in a chair never looking up, with a cell phone, playing games and dumbing down their lives~! some day they will tell people that I was not an interesting person because I never talked to them, not knowing that this is exactly what I had been trying to do, if they would just look up from the damn phone~! (Oh I just noticed that you said about the same thing~!

I started this crazy questionnaire which is more nosy than what you must fill out while sitting in a doctors office waiting room trying to write it on your lap, and now I may need to go back and fix my answer to your question about being bored~! And it used up a lot more of my precious time than the 11 minutes promised~!
,,,,,,,or was that just to “walk my dog~?”

Sam I had a look at this again and realize I only saw half your answers before. And, since I hadn’t commented, I must have been interrupted while reading. I feel the same way about my nieces and nephews. They really know nothing about my life and express little interest in it. I guess that is how history is lost as I have no desire to force it upon them. One of my great regrets, though, is not asking more questions about my parents’ and grandmother’s lives..Too late, too late, so perhaps youth is always self-centered and always was. I remember listening with great interest when they did tell stories. Just didn’t press them for more.

I re-read my reply and except for a typo or two, stick by my words. One suggestion to both to myself, and to you, is that we both need “assistants”, I have one now, but do hate asking for help.

There are two or three things very different on our blogs. First, I never swore that I would post “every day” preferring not to force myself, if I have nothing important (to me) to say~! Second while I love a challenge, I do not like games or even serial TV programs, not wanting to commit myself to a strict routine. And last, I would NEVER have hundreds of correspondents, so I limit myself to only a very few which I actually change around, if I find a superior interesting person in a new one, another may be dropped to keep my list low, both on this blog and on Facebook (which I rarely use at all, except for persons who only use this as their communication).

This way I can concentrate MY interest on a few people I truly admire and therefore find interesting enough to digest what they have to say, often bringing an interesting reply~! HA~! HA~!

Sometimes I may hit “LIKE” on a post or a photo, flower etc, which I find beautiful or interesting, in this case it is not a negative “put down”, but rather expressing my pleasure without going emotionally overboard~!

I spent many summer days living with my grandfather as a kid. His time dated back to the civil war and a time when Indians were living among them. His father had died from problems due to the war but after it was over. Many nights I sat in front of a large fireplace to the sound of snapping wood, and a grandfather clock clicking loudly and listed to the many stories he had to tell me.. Some of them I questioned at the time he told them, but my memory is great and years later in studying family history, I came to discover that most of what he told me had to be true.

He was a very well educated man having been in congress and several other political positions, and also had a lot to say about early Louisiana politics as well.

I once asked how he had met my grandmother he told me that the steamboat had stopped to take on a load of firewood, and she was standing on the dock, the daughter of the plantation owner where the boat purchased their firewood. (I thought to myself, you old fibber~!) I now wish I had asked more questions, because every word of his story was true~!

I only hope that in years to come my progeny will read of some of what I have written about him and of my life, when they finally get their heads out of the cell phone.

I know. You are so good to comment and have so many comments on your blog. It occurs to me that I now have more blogging friends than ones physically present in my life, mainly due to how many have passed away or died..That time of life.

Some intriguing answers in this batch Judy –

l am not a huge follower of audiobooks these days , however l had found them to be time saving and efficient when l was younger and found myself in one period twenty years ago working in a factory counting coupons. I got through so many audiobooks l was finding it hard to keep the battery supply going.

I also fear for the young of today and sadly it’s not only that age grouping, but many who seemingly are glued to their phones 24/7.

    Nicely done 🙂
