The Nature of True Friendship: Wordle 577 for The Sunday Whirl

The Nature of True Friendship

Guard yourself from thoughtless friends
with egos based on their own ends
who won’t forgive your need to grow
in areas where they won’t go.

The pot calling the kettle black,
they say that loyalty you lack,
not trusting that new paths you find
do not mean you’ll leave them behind.

That willow’s breath of inspiration
brought to us by education
shifts our focus here and there,
like a hound who sniffs the air

and desiring game of a new kind,
forsakes old spoor to track the hind.
But, given time to track and roam,
returns back to his hearth and home.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Once again you did it, little lady~! Another one for my classic file, at least it is for me,,,,even the buck sounding out his loud social bleat in the silence of the woods, to others who may or may not even hear him, a beautiful photo allegory .

I especially liked the last paragraph because our formal education is only the preamble to the rest of our life. It is where you are given the basics of education, but better still it gives you the desire to know much more, that desire to question, and venture out, actually that is where our real education of life only starts.

This is why cell phones, in a way, bother me, not that beautiful little object, but rather how it is used or misused. They are holding the whole world in their hands and are using it only to play games or talking to someone who may be in the same room, a great chance to venture out, even if no other opportunity ever comes along. I spent hours, or days, the hard way, reading books, and studying all things around me, going through the World Book Encyclopedia when I was a kid, and now they have all of this and much more in their little grubby little hands. I am not a genus, but only a person with a very curious mind, given to me by a little school teacher.

I hear what you are saying in such a beautiful way. Often I will hear of a person, place or situation and I think, to myself: “Hay I have a great story about that”,,, but I keep my mouth shut, because who would want to hear what I have to add or even believe it.

One other thing mentioned that I like to practice, that is I try never to tear down what others do, trying to only thinking constructively. If people only think in a negative way, how could anyone ever be helped, I look for that help from them and hope that others would think that way too. A person learning or struggling needs help, not negative comments, and we all make mistakes, especially when our thoughts (or fingers) slow down. I quickly turn off a person who likes to show that they are smarter than those around them, they are only showing ignorance rather than intelligence.

My worse problem is just talking too much, and here I have done exactly what I said what I said that I do not do~!!!!
