Cold Feet

Cold Feet

I find it hard to decide whether
I can stand these shifts in weather.

First it’s hotter, then it’s colder.
Whichever, now that I am older,
I am entitled to complain
that I find both of them a pain!!!!

IT PAINED my heart to push the ‘like’ button to leave myself a breadcrumb trail of “read that, even if I didn’t comment” – Me? I wish there was a ‘read it’ button – then a Like Button, then I can leave a comment too, if needs be/I feel called to –

This one? OMG! Your poor feet! Wishing I lived nearby, to assess it all, figure out what to whip up, do, provide you – cuz ya know – until they are taken away? Our feet carry us through life and much to important to be in cold/pain/taken for granted…

But sigh – I could be projecting – my feet are just starting to regain their ‘strength & moxie’ from COVID years, keeping house colder to save on heat, COVID toes? Circulation hits via COVID? I certainly don’t know – but I remember the times of ‘OUCH! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I just need to ‘go do this/that” and well – I remember the day my Dad shared some of his fave verses from the KJV Bible, regarding Jesus or whores or random unnamed folks in the story – here and there, regarding the washing, warming, health care, repair or damage repair – of – – FEET – ! 😀

He would, here and there, share the verse, the story, and each time differed a bit, except for the final line,

“Well, ya know? Taking care of your feet is really important! My parent’s didn’t have much, but after food, they made sure we all had good shoes/footcare/wear – and then there was books and school supplies, but I most remember no matter how little we had, how hard times were, my Dad, your grandfather, said, “Gotta take care of the feet and shoes that are quality and fit, must be had.”

WONDERFUL!!! Yes!!! Fantabulous!!!! Maybe book some extra sessions for a bit…eh?? I only say, because, sometimes? For myself? I find myself in physical/emotional/mental challenges, and I think, “OOPS! Let it get bad and didn’t take care of the moment it showed up!” and if I don’t know where to even start to ‘fix’? I just MAKE myself do extra hand/foot massages until the blockage cleared and I can see the way forward – But so happy to hear ya got that base covered!!! I personally believe, EVERYONE should get, at the least, a foot/hand massage, once a week, and luxuriate in the healing hands of a professional who actually knows what they are doing! Me? I just find the sore parts that show up sans strain or injury explanations until that point doesn’t hurt anymore – hit and miss, but well – seems to work with low risk, for ‘practicing medicine on meself’ – 😀

I stuck my freezing cold feet under Coco and nineteen minutes later, my whole body was toasty warm. I had to throw the covers off! I’d heard that if you keep your head and feet warm, the whole body follows suit and in this case it certainly did.

Have you ever noticed that just when things feel good, they move to a different part of the bed~? While we can move the covers, they just move where it is more comfortable for them~! Then before the night is over they have all moved to their spots “segundos” and your feet freeze..
