Lifelessons
My perception see-saws between wonderment and worry,
all our lovely world devoted to such hurry
that in the furious ruckus, much is overlooked,
as if every second has been overbooked.
Take time to watch the sunrise and to hear the finch’s song.
Pick these things like flowers and carry them along.
Everything’s a lesson. All of nature is a book,
so between your rushing-offs, be sure to have a look.

Prompt words today are wonderment, ruckus, see-saw, perception, lesson and sing.
Lovely thoughts, Judy!

A gorgeous celebratory post about life. We really are in such a rush or so consumed with what we call living life that we miss the wonders along the way that make it all worthwhile. You must know how my heart rejoices at the inclusion of the house finch here – yes, the song is glorious. And transformative. Beautiful, rhyme here – thank you for the musicality and the lessons.
The finches continue to rebuild here and the nest is so lovely it almost breaks my heart. Will send a link when I put up the new photo.
