Info Overload

Info Overload

Contemporary culture is one I dread to contemplate—
much more prone to outcry than to logical debate.
Folks bury fact with fiction misleading and irrelevant,
quelling truth and logic in favor of their rave and rant.

Who can deal with all the various sorts of messaging,
let alone absorb events rarely less than harrowing?
Lately my delete button has become my dearest friend
as I limit messages mostly to ones I send!!!

Prompts today are bury, outcry, contemporary, contemplate, absorb and irrelevant.

That is actually my stats on my email and I spent four hours yesterday erasing messages. I can’t keep up with all the junk mail let alone the real messages!!! And I can’t just erase the junk because Hotmail has started randomly posting my mail from contacts into my junk mail and vice versa. I’d change carriers but have about a thousand contacts I’d have to notify not to mention different accounts… impossible.

The overload is overwhelming! I’m currently limiting reading comments to one or two per post, and deleting all political and other advertising unread!
