I just received this notice from a friend and have to share it here. I receive at least one scam email a day and if this will help one person to escape being cheated by this new scheme, it will be worth the post:
(They didn’t enclose the letter that arrived with the machine, but I take it it claimed to make banking easier.)

How many ways they invent to scam the people.

I know. It’s horrible. And usually pick on the elderly…a classification I’m quickly approaching. I don’t trust anything I get over the internet anymore. I get scams claiming they are Amazon or my bank or Apple or a received pkg. that couldn’t be delivered. I just erase them. It’s created some problems in orders being cancelled but not as bad as being scammed.

I also keep on getting these emails and I too delete them without opening them.

It would be great to be accomplished enough to scam the scammer.

There are a lot of catfish out there, I have one not really bright relative who has been sending money to a “Professional Wrestler Love interest” who contacts her and she has broken contact with her family who tries to tell her that his great pictures and history are all a fake, taken off the internet and she should stop sending him money~!

Yes.. so sad that just reaching out to find someone can lead to this.

“Every penny had been took out of her account” all of this is disgusting. “Because she was elderly she wasn’t interested.” All of these people can go fuck themselves.

Luckily, the bank refunded her money.

I’m so distrustful I’ve discarded genuine important information. It’s very hard to tell the difference between real and scam even when you are technically savvy.

Me too, Marilyn. I worked for weeks to figure out how to get a new computer and phone, had it all arranged and then the order was cancelled because I hadn’t sent an email they sent that looked just like dozens of fraudulent ones I’d received in the past.

I keep getting Amazon scams. Right now I’m afraid to use my Amazon account but I really need to.

There are various scams out there that are ready to extort individuals , I’d advice everyone to be vigilant and observant. It’s a cold world. Check out winsburg.net if you need and seek help.
