About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

The first one I am using for the back cover of my new book of love poems and in place of the road of light from the setting sun, I am printing a poem whose structure and theme match the path of the light on the water.

Hello Judy! You’re so prolific that I can’t read all your posts from the time I was away, but I’m caught up with January’s. Lots of amazing photos, and these are among my favorites. I enjoyed reading about your struggles with the tomato paste can and about bagworms. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to be a female bagworm. 🙂 (Sorry if this is a duplicate comment. My first didn’t seem to take.)

Ha. I had exactly the same thought about the female bagworm. And don’t know if you got to the place where it totally disappeared a second time and never reappeared, so it must have been a male who metamorphosed into a moth. One of life’s mysteries. There are so many exotic insects that appear here just once and never again. I should do a blog on them but it would take so long to reaccess their photos..Maybe I will one day. The cowkiller ant is another one..fascinating.
