That is my illustrator Isidro’s granddaughter. It broke her heart when we borrowed Isidro’s phone back to use it to hear the song that accompanies the Puppy book. I had taken him one and wanted him to hear it..This photo was taken just before the SHOCK of her losing possession of the phone for a few minutes.
love all photos, tiny girl on step my favorite. I am reading Into the beautiful North. Funny. Sad. Sweet and sour but mostly sweet. Such characters. And the satirical humor … Sometimes just slapstick. Wouldn’t it make a marvelous movie? I love this Urrea guy and Ursula le Guinn (rip) helped him. I met her and she was cold to me probably because our mutual friend said to her. Oh ann writes so well, you must read some of her work. That remark put me in the grave. Don’t blame her. Ann
