The stream of life brings good and bad—
both peace and torment to be had.
Dreaming adventure’s a sure bet.
If you don’t jump in, you won’t get wet.
Those secret knives that rip the seams
of the fabric of your dreams—
That fiery breath that sears your lungs
as you tell lies that fork your tongue?
Tucked here safe within your bed,
you have no cause for fears or dread.
Truth seen in glimpses, through lash-closed eyes
may be wisdom in disguise.

you are not only 100% prolific, you are so extremely talented. Your rhyming is always excellent. True talent. I love your prose even more. It has all the right details to engender strong simpatica from this reader. You put me right there. I only regret im not young enough to visit you. Ah Ann. You have always been so sweet and supportive. Beginning when you solved my biggest problem in moving to Australia, by taking Gretchen. You will never know what a relief it was to hear how much you loved her over the years. Then, also, your continuing support of my writing. Your publishing your book and telling me about Cannon Beach was a big factor in my quitting teaching and going to the coast to write.. I went directly to Cannon Beach from Cheyenne, then to Huntington Beach and never returned except once to gather my things. I wish you’d send me your unpublished one. I have the Ayla one…J
